Gene Therapy

In researching gene therapy for congenital hearing loss, Drs. Chris Cunningham and Thanos Tzounopoulos have developed a therapeutic platform for cell-type-specific gene therapy in genetic forms of hearing loss. They have utilized their platform to develop new, precision tools for hearing loss gene therapy and have promising results showing strong hearing recovery in deaf mouse models of congenital genetic hearing loss.
