Survivorship after Cancer of the Head and Neck: A Multidisciplinary Symposium

The purpose of this symposium is to provide fundamental information necessary for a comprehensive approach to survivorship care of head and neck cancer patients. This symposium is intended to improve healthcare providers’ ability to provide high-quality survivorship care to the growing population of head and neck cancer survivors.

Professional providers, primary care physicians, nurses, residents, audiologists, speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, dentists, and other interested healthcare professionals.

Learning Objectives
At the completion of the course, the participant should be able to:

1. Recognize the components of high-quality head and neck cancer survivorship care.
2. Identify prevailing late and long-term effects head and neck cancer survivors’ experience.
3. Describe strategies and interventions to improve functional recovery of head and neck cancer survivors.
4. Recognize new systemic therapies for head and neck cancer, potential side effects and treatment available.
