Rhinology

The Division of Rhinology provides the full spectrum of care for the nose and paranasal sinuses. Medical and surgical management of inflammatory sinusitis, nasal airway surgery including rhinoplasty, cerebrospinal fluid leaks, and sinonasal tumors, are all treated by the Division. A tertiary referral center, the center performs over 550 nasal and endoscopic sinus surgeries per year.

The Division has a rich history in training and research in the study of conditions affecting the paranasal sinuses. Moving beyond inflammatory sinusitis, the Division has a strong reputation as leaders in the management of sinonasal cancers. With translational funding for investigating the viral etiologies of nasopharyngeal carcinoma, multicenter registries, tumor banking in sinonasal malignancies, and a newly opened clinical trial for induction immunotherapy in sinonasal squamous cell carcinoma, the Division continues to push the forefront for advancing the care of these challenging cancers.
