Eugene N. Myers became Chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 1972, a position he held for 33 years. He is a specialist in Head and Neck Cancer Surgery. He has published hundreds of articles, book chapters, and many books on the subject. He is a past President of the American Board of Otolaryngology, the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, the American Head and Neck Society, the American Laryngological Society and the Pan American Society of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He continues to be very active in patient care and teaching.
