Rita Hersan, MS, CCC-SLP

Rita Hersan received her undergraduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology and a master's degree in Communication Science and Disorders from the Universidade Federal de Sao Paulo in Brazil. Ms. Hersan is a master clinician with special emphasis in pediatric voice disorders. She is one of the co-authors of Adventures in Voice, a specific program for children with voice disorders, and has presented nationally and internationally. Currently, Ms. Hersan has been working with her colleagues on developing a Center of Excellence for Parkinson’s Disease at the University of Pittsburgh Voice Center. She has worked at the University of Pittsburgh Voice Center since its inception in 1995 and has been the Vocal Health Outreach Coordinator for the past ten years.
