Research Interests

Dr. Teixeira is the on-site research physician at the Middle Ear Physiology Lab (MEPL), a state of the art facility established in 2005 that carries on the 40 year Otolaryngology Departmental tradition in research focused on otitis media (OM) and Eustachian tube dysfunction (ETD).  Their ongoing protocols aim to investigate the middle ear gas exchange and balance, improve the understanding of Eustachian tube mechanics and refine Eustachian tube testing methods in adults and children.
