Dennis J. Kitsko, DO

Dr. Kitsko is a pediatric otolaryngologist and is certified in otolaryngology by the American Osteopathic of Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic Surgery. His clinical interests include children with hearing loss, cochlear implantation, bone anchored hearing devices, chronic ear disease, cholesteatoma, tympanic membrane perforation, and head and neck masses/lesions. He has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and is a member of several professional societies, including the American Osteopathic Association, American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology. He is also a current member and past president of the American Osteopathic College of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and was previously medical staff treasurer for UPMC Children’s. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Department of Health Advisory Committee for Infant and Newborn Hearing Screening.

Research Interests

Dr. Kitsko's research interests include chronic ear disease, cochlear implantation, balance disorders, and naso-septal reconstruction. He also is involved in clinical and research mentoring of fellows and residents.
